We help you sign your Will and Powers of Attorney documents in accordance with Ontario practice.
You have the documents already drafted.
We provide 2 witnesses and a notary public.

We provide Affidavits of Execution signed by the witnesses, notarized and attached to your documents
You will need the following:
- Your drafted documents either in hard copy or emailed to our office ahead of your appointment
***If you bring hard copies, your documents MUST be printed single-sided
- Valid government-issued photo ID that show your name as it appears in your documents
***Please be aware of middle names, as these do not always show on driver's licences
***Your name in these documents should be your full legal name
- Your method of payment
When you have your documents ready, the process is:
1. Book your appointment with our office
2. Confirm your full legal name appears on your document and you have valid photo ID showing your full legal name
3. Print your documents single-sided or email your documents to our office at info@willsigners.ca
4. Our office will call to confirm your appointment and that your documents are ready
5. Attend your appointment and present your valid photo ID
6. Sign your documents as directed by the Notary Public in the presence of the Witnesses
7. Your documents will be signed by the witnesses, notarized and scanned by our staff
8. You will receive your original, signed, witnessed and notarized documents
In Ontario, Wills and Powers of Attorney must be signed in the presence of 2 witnesses who are unrelated to the testator/grantor (person whose document it is), are not named in the document and are over the age of 18.
Notarizing Wills and Powers of Attorney is technically optional in Ontario, but will smooth the way in the future when these documents are needed. Notarized documents are often requested by recipients
We do not draft or review your documents. You are responsible for the content of your documents. We will ensure your documents are signed in accordance with Ontario practice, but do not review or advise on the content of your documents.
If you would like additional "original" copies of your documents, we cannot sign additional original documents, as Wills and Powers of Attorney revoke all previous documents. Therefore, if multiple originals are signed, the second one signed will revoke the first.
If you wish additional copies, we can produce a colour photocopy of your signed, witnessed and notarized documents and certify them as true copies.
These are generally accepted as "original" documents and are used if recipients want to keep an original copy, or are used as originals if the original document is lost or destroyed.
This service is available for an additional fee.
