We can assist with coordinating and signing your out-of-province real estate documents. This includes:
1. Completing ID verification forms, including agency agreements (with some conditions)
2. Coordinating directly with your lawyer/notary/title company to receive the documents, print the documents, sign, witness and notarize the documents as required, and send the hard copy documents back.
We do not review the documents or review them with you. Your lawyer/notary/title company is responsible for this.
We cannot sign agency agreements that require us to review documents with our clients.
We cannot sign certificates of independent legal advice, as we do not provide review or advice on the documents.
We can assist with signing documents you have received from your representative, or we can coordinate with your representative directly to receive the documents by email.
We provide an invoice and expect payment at the time of the appointment, but direct invoicing to your representative can be arranged.
We can receive and print documents to prepare them for signing.
Documents received must reflect your legal name as it appears on your ID. If your documents do not have your name as it appears on your ID, you must contact your representative to arrange for updates to the documents.
We require 2 pieces of valid photo ID to be presented at the time of your appointment.
No, unfortunately, we cannot arrange the signing of Ontario real estate or mortgage documents at Will Signers. These documents must be signed in the presence of an Ontario real estate lawyer.
